Aluna was born of my personal experiences in fitness.

 

 

As a self confessed gym obsessive, I found that during pregnancy information on safe exercise was sparse and during the postnatal days, it looked even more bleak. I decided to make sure that no one ever felt as lost as I did and as a result set about educating myself and sharing this far and wide.

 

En route however, I started to question all of those ‘rules’ so many of us adhere to within the fitness world, such as the need to ‘workout’ for an hour! I realised that I wasn’t alone in feeling that the rules didn’t fit into my world as a mother, but they also exclude large proportions of the population.

The key ethos of Aluna is community and connection. I believe wholeheartedly that bringing women together is really powerful both to individuals and the collective.
